How to Automatically Transcribe Audio and Video with Algor

First of all, you will need to log in to Algor Education from the login page; if you are not registered, you can sign up for free on our platform by visiting the registration page. Enter your email, choose a password, and then select "Proceed"; if you prefer, you can log in directly with your Google account. Complete the registration by filling in the required fields, click on the "Sign Up" button, and you're done: you are officially registered with Algor Education!

After logging in, all you need to do is find the "Automatic Transcriptions" button in your Personal Area.

Click on "Automatic Transcriptions" to go to the dedicated page.

In order to use Algor's new feature, you will need to purchase the appropriate credit to transcribe your audio or video.

Click on the "Purchase Credit" button to buy the credit you need for transcribing your file.

The cost per hour of audio or video is €0.99. Click on the "Purchase Credit" button at the top right and select the number of hours you want to transcribe. To do this, slide the cursor on the Algor symbol icon, or type the amount directly into the appropriate box; then select the "Go to payment" button and follow the instructions. At the end of the process, you will be redirected to the transcription page.

Slide the Algor icon to the desired credit, then click on "Go to payment" to complete the purchase.

Your credit will be updated and you can check its status on the top bar, next to the "Purchase Credit" button.

You can always view your remaining credit on the top bar of the loading screen.

At this point, you can proceed with uploading the audio or video file you have and want to convert into text. To do this, click on the "Upload File" button on the left side of the screen and select the file saved on your device.

On the left, you will find the button to upload files, while on the right, the audio and video files you uploaded will be collected, and you can check their status.

Attention! When uploading the file, you will need to consider two factors: the size and format of the audio or video.

● The maximum size for each file is 0.5 GB.

● The formats supported by the platform are: mpeg, mp3, wav, webm, m4a, mpga, mp4. If the format of your file is not among these, you can convert it to one of the accepted formats using an online converter.

In addition, you will need to make sure that the duration of the file does not exceed the credit you have. In any case, you can always go back to the purchase page and increase the hours available to you.

Once you have selected the file, choose the language of the audio or video and click on "Start Transcription". When the transcription process is complete and your text is ready, you will receive an email notification from our team, containing the link that will allow you to access the content. To view the text transcribed by Artificial Intelligence, click on the "View Transcription" button located on the right side of the page, in the area that contains and organizes all the uploaded files.

Here it is: you have in front of you the complete text transcription of the audio or video file you uploaded to the platform. Now, all you have to do is use the editing tools to modify the content to your liking. When you are satisfied with the result, you can download your document by clicking on the download icon located at the bottom left. Your file will be downloaded in docx format, so you can edit it and print it using your available programs.

But it doesn't end there: your transcription can be automatically converted into a concept map and a summary! Just click on the orange icon on the left side of the editor, select the pages you want to transform, and click on "Create". In just a few seconds, your concept map will be ready to be customized, exported, shared, and printed, and your summary can be downloaded in docx format with just one click! Remember that each automatic map has a cost of 15 AI credits, so make sure you have enough.
