Online Tools for Automatic Summaries
The Automatic Summary
The Automatic Summary is one of the latest innovations introduced by Algor Education, the innovative and inclusive web app that, thanks to Artificial Intelligence, offers valuable educational tools to support students and teachers. Alongside Concept Maps, the Automatic Summary represents a step forward towards a more versatile and comprehensive study experience.

Thanks to Artificial Intelligence algorithms, this new feature allows users to obtain an automatic summary from texts in various formats. How? Simply sign up for Algor and choose, based on your needs, an automatic function between the Text Map and the Photo Map. You will find the two options within your Personal Area.
By choosing the Text Map, you can enter your digital text by copying and pasting directly into the appropriate box or by selecting the file from those saved on your device. The maximum limit is 15,000 characters. If you prefer to use the Photo Map, take photos of your book or upload images from your device, following the instructions.
At this point, all you have to do is click on "Create" or "Proceed": in a few seconds, you will have both the concept map and the complete summary of your content, ready to be personalized and downloaded! The "cost" for the map and summary is 15 AI credits (What are AI credits?).
You can test the new feature thanks to the 30 AI credits you will receive as a gift when you sign up for free on algoreducation.com. If you are already registered and have run out of credits, visit the subscriptions page, discover the benefits, and choose the tailor-made solution for you!

You will find your Automatic Summary on the left side of the editor.
Resoomer
Resoomer is a web application that analyzes and summarizes your texts online. To use this service, you need to visit the official website in the Italian version through your browser and enter the chosen text in the box on the left, using copy and paste or import. You can choose from various options, including automatic summary and manual summary, which allows you to select the percentage of content reduction.
Similarly, Resoomer allows you to obtain a summary of an article on the web, so you don't have to read it in its entirety. To do this, you will need to enter the URL of the site containing the article or download the extension for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Once the process is complete, you will have a selection of options that will allow you to copy or download the document, share it, and even translate it.
The tool offers both a free version and a paid PRO version, which allows you to obtain more accurate and higher quality summaries starting from €9.90 per month (the price increases based on the number of characters to be processed).
Summazer
Another online app that automatically creates summaries is Summazer, available among the various options of NelSenso. Unlike the other applications we have mentioned, this tool only allows copy and paste of the text for which you want the automatic summary or its URL in the case of online content. It is therefore not possible to upload a file from your device. As with Resoomer, you can select the percentage of text length processed and copy the result with the right mouse button, but you won't have the option to export it. In a few seconds, you will be able to view a window containing the automatic summary, created based on the previously selected percentage - all for free and with a limit of 32,000 characters.
At this point, if you want to make adjustments and maybe print it, you can copy and paste it into any text editor (such as Word or Google Docs).
Summazer is only available in web version, so to use it, you will need to access the Italian version website through a browser.
TLDR
One of the most valid tools in this field is undoubtedly TLDR This ("Too Long, Didn't Read This"), although currently, the app only offers services in English. With TLDR, you can automatically paraphrase and summarize your texts in English in a few simple steps. You can also get a summary of any article on the web. It's simple: just paste the text to be summarized in the text box or enter the link of the website containing the chosen article. You can choose between a concise and a detailed version, as well as view the keywords of the text. The result can be copied and pasted into a text editor of your choice to customize and print it.
TLDR offers a free version, but to take advantage of the more advanced options, you will need to purchase a monthly or annual subscription. Prices range from $4.00/month to $19.99/month. This app is also only available in web version: you can access the website through a browser, where you can also install a specific extension for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
Paraphraser
Paraphraser is a web app that offers various text management tools, such as plagiarism check or grammar checker. Among these, there is also a tool that allows you to get an online summary in a few seconds. The document to be summarized can be uploaded directly from your device, or alternatively, you can paste the previously copied text. Once the summary is processed according to the selected percentage, it can also be viewed in bullet point format. In addition, Paraphraser allows you to edit the result before downloading it in .doc format or copying it with a simple click.
The application is easily accessible through any web browser on the dedicated website.
To use the online summary offered by Paraphraser, registration is not required. On the other hand, if you want to test all the other tools that the platform offers, you need to subscribe by choosing from three different packages.
