The Algor community: what is it and how does it work
Given the results obtained from our platform, which every day provides valuable help to hundreds of thousands of students, we have decided to take an extra step. Our goal was to gather, in a virtual space, the contributions of our users, in order to reach all those who can benefit from the content created with Algor Education - the same content that has allowed subscribers to achieve their desired goals. From here, the idea of creating a community.

The Algor community: what is it and how does it work
If you are looking for a platform that allows you to exchange study materials with other students and optimize your study hours, saving you valuable time, the community we have built is what you need. Algor offers you the opportunity to access a selection of concept maps created and published directly by users of the web app. A controlled and constantly updated collection, where new content will be made available every day.
If you are already an Algor user, accessing the community is easy: simply go to your Personal Area and select the "Community" option on the left sidebar. You will be presented with a screen containing a collection of maps made available by our users and our team. But it doesn't end there: each map is accompanied by a brief textual description, an extended summary, and a transcription of the map's content in the form of a list (outline).

Use the search bar at the top or the navigation bar on the right to create concept maps.
But who publishes the maps in the Algor community? The most active users of Algor Education (those who create many high-quality content), selected by our editorial team, have the opportunity to make their maps available to the community in exchange for AI credits as a gift to be used to automatically create concept maps from text, photos, or any topic on Algor.
If you want to have the opportunity to contribute your maps to the community, sign up for Algor and start creating your maps.
The benefits of the new community
Find the map or summary you need with a simple search
To find the maps you are interested in, you can use the search bar at the top of the screen: by typing the keywords of the topic you need and clicking on the magnifying glass, you will have access to the results that match your search. Alternatively, you can use the navigation bar on the right, which divides the content based on the type of discipline: simply click on "Subjects" and select the topic you are interested in (Humanities, Sciences, Literature, Grammar, Other).
Each map also has associated tags, in this example the map has #CivicEducation and #Media. You can also click on the tags to navigate through maps that have the same tags. In no time, all the maps that the new Algor platform offers on the chosen subject will appear.

Create a copy and customize your map on Algor
Here we are: you have searched for the map you need and you have found it. This is how a community map looks like: you will immediately see a preview of the map (by clicking on it, you will be redirected to the map to modify it), you will know who is the user who created it by seeing their nickname, you will be able to share the map via WhatsApp, Facebook, links to other channels, you will be able to like or dislike the content or report it. Scrolling down even further, you will find two text contents:
- a summary that deepens its contents in a more discursive way,
- an outline, which is the textual content of the map presented in the form of a hierarchical list.
You like the map you found, but you want to modify it. With Algor you can do it! By clicking directly on the map preview (or on "Open in editor"), you will be redirected to the concept map editor of your Algor account (don't have an account? Sign up for free); at this point, you just have to click on the Algor symbol, which you will find at the top right, and select the option "Create a copy": the map is ready to be customized and adapted to your needs!

By clicking on the "Create a copy" button at the top left, you can create a personal copy of the map to customize it on Algor.
You can add new nodes, insert images, videos, links, and more. And when you are satisfied with your changes, you will also have the option to print it! If you want to learn more, take a look at our YouTube channel: you will find many tutorial videos that will help you maximize your experience with our web app.
At Algor, we value the quality of the content we provide: that's why every map inserted in the community is carefully reviewed and checked to offer you the best possible study experience. Moreover, to meet everyone's needs, the maps included in the platform are classified, not only by subject or topic, but also based on their level of complexity and depth.
